| STUD POKER STRATEGY |
The goal of having a strategy for playing casino and bingo game stud poker is the same as it is for any other game: to reduce the house advantage so that you can stay in the game longer and win more money. The strategy for playing Casino Stud Poker successfully boils down to two important principles:
1. Always raise if you are holding a pair or higher. |
2. Always fold your hand if you are holding a total card value that is less than the dealer's qualifying hand (which is always and Ace or a King.)
If you do this you can reduce the house edge to just over 5%. To decrease the house's edge an additional one percent it is also important to pay attention to what the casino dealer is holding. Here is how to play certain card combinations held by the dealer. This is different form the internet bingo. |
Always rise with a pair or higher, fold if you have less than an Ace and a King, and rise on Ace and a King if any of the following three rules apply.
1. Raise your bet if the dealer's card is a 2 through a Queen and matches one of yours. |
2. Raise if the dealer's card is an Ace or a King and you have a Queen or a Jack in your hand.
3. Raise if the dealer's rank does not match any of your cards and you have a Queen in your hand and the dealer's card is less than your fourth highest card. |
